Dreaming of the Sea in a World of Ordinary Swimwear?

This is the story of a ‘Sealover,’ who 15 years ago landed on the east coast of Italy from the Adriatic Sea with a small suitcase filled with very little except big dreams! Having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law, she pursued commercial law but could never forget her love of fashion. How could she resist the call of the Sea and Destiny?

Since her childhood she was fascinated by her grandmother’s hand-tailored clothing – and having been raised in the USSR where everything was “equal,” she was appalled by the pedestrian, mass-produced garments and shoes found on the shelves of big department stores. 

She was raised, persuaded that women should be judged not by their appearance but on the merit of their work.  But she also loved expressing her unique style by changing basic features, such as the collar and cuffs and incorporating the kind of hand-crafted styling that her grandmother had mastered. So, as she settled down in Italy, which she thought was and is the most fashionable country in the world, she began to produce custom-made garments for a discerning few, inspired by the beauty of the land and amazed by its “seductive lover,” the Sea.

And in her heart a dream grew to create her own exclusive brand in the frenzied world of fashion. But she knew this would take a very specific set of skills, a huge dose of creativity, passion and drive, along with a pinch of business savvy. 

After years of studying fashion, developing her signature style and honing her tailoring skills, she launched her own brand –  SEALOVER!

Each item is made to order in-studio, meaning no deadstock fabric or wastage.

We use only the finest silk and natural yarns, kissed with our expert, hand-made crochet crafting.
